As per the purchase agreement, your final walk-through is to establish that the property is in substantially the same condition as of the date of your purchase agreement.

Items to Examine:

  • Verify inspection requests have been completed and paid for in full

  • Check for new stains/substantial damage to walls, ceilings, floor, exterior

  • Operate all faucets (check for hot and cold water and its pressure)

  • Check underneath all sinks for leaks

  • Flush all toilets

  • Operate all appliances (if practical)

  • Check all light fixtures and ceiling fans

  • Check all bath and kitchen exhaust fans

  • Check garage door opener and auto reverse

  • Check doorbell, intercom, and security system

  • Check heating system/air conditioner (if time of year allows for A/C check)

  • Make sure all appliance manuals and/or warranties are at home

  • Make sure all requested personal property has been left at the coming, including TV wall mounts, etc.

  • Make sure all personal property and/or debris, not included in the sale, have been removed from the property (except paint, extra flooring, siding, etc.)

NOTE: For security reasons, we strongly advise you to change all doo locks and security codes immediately after you take possession of the home.
